Features:

Armor Steel:

• High-Quality Steel: The plates use armor steel from the world-renowned Swedish company SSAB, Armox Advance with a hardness of 58-63 HRC and a nominal thickness of just 5 mm. Due to proper processing, the plates meet the 4th class of DSTU and even more — they withstand at least 1 shot from an AKM 7.62x39, 57-BZ-231 bullet (armor-piercing incendiary) under the harshest laboratory conditions.

Anti-Spall Properties:

• Fragmentation Protection: To prevent the ejection of cores and fragments after shots, we use lightweight materials of our own design. The front part of the armor plate is covered with special ballistic felt of Ukrainian production, which is additionally laminated with PVC film to protect the plates from moisture. The felt is precisely cut to the plate's dimensions and attached using a special pressing method, ensuring a strong bond with the plate even after 6 shots.

Trauma Reduction:

• Effective Damper: Each plate is equipped with an 8 mm thick EVA damper with a density of 80 kg/m³. It practically does not deform when used correctly and provides the best results in reducing behind-armor trauma.

Shape and Dimensions:

• Standard Dimensions: The armor plate has dimensions of 25x30 cm and anatomical curves in width to fit the shape of the chest. The beveled edges do not restrict movement and allow for comfortable use of firearms. The full thickness of the plate is just 21 mm.

DSTU, Certificates, and Testing:

• Certification: Each plate has a unique number and production date. All batches of armor plates undergo testing in a certified laboratory where they are checked for compliance with DSTU 8782:2018 under normal conditions. A certificate valid for 6 months is issued based on the results.

Protection According to DSTU:

• Withstands shots from: SVD, 7.62-mm cartridge 57-N-323s (LPS) with a steel core at a bullet speed of 850±15 m/s, AK-74, 5.45 mm cartridge, 7N10 bullet with a thermally strengthened core, bullet speed 910±15 m/s.

Additional Ammunition:

• Protection from: AKM 7.62x39, 57-BZ-231 bullet (armor-piercing incendiary), AK-74, 5.45-mm cartridge, 7N6M bullet.

Comparison with Ceramic Plates:

• Ceramic Plates: Require replacement after the first use. Armor steel plates can withstand multiple shots and do not require immediate replacement. Behind-armor deformation of ceramic plates is significantly higher, increasing the risk of severe injuries without the use of a ballistic vest. Armor steel plates have less behind-armor deformation and better reduce injuries.
