SpaceX Starlink for RVs
The world's most advanced broadband satellite internet
Starlink is the world's most famous satellite Internet platform created by SpaceX. It uses the best satellites, advanced equipment, and low Earth orbit to deliver the most advanced, low-latency broadband Internet to users anywhere in the world, regardless of location, time, light, or connectivity.
How does Starlink work?
Starlink is a constellation of thousands of satellites. They orbit the Earth at a distance of 550 km, which is much closer than the location of geostationary satellites, which orbit the planet at an altitude of 35786 km.
Starlink covers the entire globe, so you can access the Internet anywhere and anytime with much lower latency - about 20 ms vs. 600+ ms of conventional satellite Internet, as Starlink satellites are in low orbit.
Work and stay connected in remote locations
Starlink for RVs is ideal for those traveling or working in places where internet connectivity is unreliable or not available at all, as it is standard portable.
You can expect fast, low-latency Internet speeds in areas called "High Capacity", during peak usage in areas labeled "Low Capacity", or near a large number of users.
Starlink for RVs is not designed to be used while driving. But you can move it around and use it in any area you need to.
Pay as you go.
Starlink for RVs gives you the option to pause and resume your service at any time and bill it one month apart. This allows you to customize your service to meet your individual travel or remote work needs. You could choose another modem and use it only at home, but why when there's a Starlink 2gen RVs that keeps your life flowing?
Easy setup
Starlink for RVs comes with everything you need to get connected in minutes.
To connect Starlink, you need a clear view of the sky. Download the Starlink app to help you determine the best location.
Easy self-installation
Your Starlink 2gen for RVs standardportable kit comes with everything you need to get connected in minutes: Starlink, WiFi router, cables, and base.
Control your Starlink in the mobile app
The Starlink app is a reliable guide to setting up your Starlink, suggesting when to install updates, giving you quick access to support, and allowing you to view real-time Starlink performance data such as download speeds, latency, and uptime.
You can also download the app to determine the guaranteed the best location before installation. A clear view of the sky is required to connect to Starlink satellites.
How do I connect Starlink 2gen for RVs standard portable?
Starlink requires a clear view of the sky to maintain communication with the satellites as they move overhead. Objects that obstruct the communication between Starlink and the satellite, such as tree branches, poles, or roofs, may cause service to be interrupted.
To find the ideal location with a clear view of the sky:
- Download the Starlink app.
- You can easily use the "Check for Obstructions" tool to find the installation location that will provide the best service.
Make sure that Starlink is installed within 35 degrees of the vertical.
Interference
Follow the additional instructions to choose the best installation location:
- Do not install on balconies or windowsills.
- Do not install against a wall.
- Do not install in an enclosed outdoor location.
Tall objects outside your immediate property (e.g., tall trees in a neighbor's yard) may also be obstructions.
Consider installing on a rooftop, as the height improves the chances of eliminating nearby interference.
In most cases, Starlink is not the tallest object in the field of view at the installation site. We guarantee that the Starlink app will help you in this case as well. You can check and make sure that no obstacles (trees, poles, etc.) will interrupt your work.
It is impossible for a human to know and assess all potential obstacles for sure, so it is best to use the app for this purpose.
Connect the Starlink
Insert the Starlink into the base and plug it into a power source.
Starlink will automatically align itself to find satellites overhead. There is NO need to try to manually adjust the Starlink.
After a few minutes, your Starlink will establish an initial connection to the Starlink satellites and tilt to the optimum angle for satellite coverage (slightly north or south depending on your location in the northern or southern hemisphere).
Connect to Starlink high-speed internet from your device!
Now connect to Wi-Fi. Find the STARLINK network on your device in the Wi-Fi settings and connect to it. If necessary, the network ID is located on the back of the router.
After connecting, a browser window will open and prompt you to enter a new SSID (network name) and password. This step is not required but recommended.
Congratulations, you are now connected to Starlink! Open the Starlink app to configure additional settings, test your connection, and more.
A leader in space
Starlink is a leader in innovation, not only for its work reducing the brightness of satellites, but also for preventing debris in orbit, meeting and exceeding regulatory and industry standards.
Designed by SpaceX
SpaceX is using its experience in rocket and spacecraft development to deploy the world's most advanced broadband Internet system. As a leading provider of launch services and the world's only provider of reusable orbital-class rockets, SpaceX has extensive experience with both spacecraft and on-orbit operations. Is there a better guarantee that Starlink is the best choice in the endless stream of companies, names and logos?
