The summer field Panama hat, designed after the British military model, has become extremely popular among service members.
A special band is sewn around the hat for attaching camouflage elements. The top of the Panama features a ventilation mesh, plus six external holes for improved air circulation. A neck cord with a clasp allows the hat to be securely held in place during movement or strong winds.
The reduced brim of the hat provides excellent visibility and effective sun protection for the face, neck, and ears. The hat also offers protection from rain and insects.
